ACC has not scheduled the event with proper fixtures; the expected date is September 2025. India has decided not to host this tournament. Due to this, the event is expected to be shifted to Dubai or Sri Lanka. The upcoming event will be played in T20 format, which was last played in 2023.

How did the teams qualify for the Asia Cup 2025?
Ten teams participated in the ACC Men’s Premier Cup. It was held by the Asian Cricket Council. This event does not take place every year, but it was held a few months ago.

ACC divided the 10 teams of the Premier Cup into two groups. Two teams from each group qualified for the semi-finals and then for the finals. The top performers in the Premier Cup qualified for the Asia Cup 2025. Those best-performing teams are

Nepal and the UAE were the sixth participants last time. Oman and Hong Kong will be the new participants now. After performing in the ACC Men’s Premier Cup, they gained a place in the big tournament. After their success, they will clash with five permanent International Cricket Council (ICC) members.
