Bangladesh announces 25-member Preliminary Squad for the Asia Cup 2025
The Asia Cup 2025 is just around the corner in a few weeks. Teams have started preparing for the tournament. Bangladesh has also announced its squad for the 2025 Asia Cup.
This squad is not yet confirmed, as it has been called a preliminary squad. The Bangladesh cricket board has added 25 players to this squad. Fifteen players will be shortlisted after the fitness test. Here is complete information and a list of all 25 players in the squad.
Fitness Tests Scheduled on 6 August
BCB has called all 25 players for a fitness test on 6 August 2025. The venue for this test is the Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium. All the players will go to Mirpur for the fitness test.
This test will decide which players will be shortlisted in the 15-member squad. Litton Das is the confirmed captain of the Tigers team. He will lead the team through the whole tournament.
Following this, a skill training camp will be held on 15 August 2025. This camp will focus on honing the players’ cricketing skills and tactics, preparing them for the challenges they will face in the tournament. The whole team camp will then shift to Sylhet on 20 August. Then the team will prepare for the upcoming series.

Netherlands Series Set for August 26
A series has been scheduled against the Netherlands following the preparation for the Asia Cup 2025. The Netherlands will travel to Bangladesh for the three-match T20I series. The preparations for the series will start on August 26, 2025.
Bangladesh will play 3 matches starting from August 30. All the matches will be played in Sylhet. Here is the complete schedule list of 3 T20I matches:

All Activities to Be Held in Mirpur
The 25-member preliminary squad for the Asia Cup 2025 will do almost all activities in Mirpur. They will attend a fitness camp in the Sher Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur. They will then attend a skill training camp starting from August 15.
After following these activities in Mirpur, Bangladesh, the team will reach Sylhet for the preparation of the Netherlands series. They will play 3 T20 matches in Sylhet. After this, they will travel to the UAE for the Asia Cup 2025.
Road to Asia Cup 2025
The Bangladesh team has always shown a great performance in every ICC and ACC tournament. They are doing much struggle to name this Asia Cup to their country. They have developed decent players like Jaker Ali and Mehdiy Hasssan Miraz, along with fast bowlers Taskin Ahmad and Shoriful Islam.
